I'm Maggie, a freelance writer and journalist. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, I've reported in cities around the country. I've just completed my Master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University, where I also received a Bachelor's degree. I am passionate about telling stories about people navigating the (often unjust) world around them. My work has been featured in Washingtonian, Nola Adore, and North by Northwestern.

I'm a firm believer in immersing myself in the place I'm reporting in. New Orleans will always be home for me, but I'll love wherever I end up!
